Bully Buster Programme
The Bully Buster programme strives to create a greater awareness of bullying amongst young people engaged with the Talk About Youth Project clubs and groups and with local primary schools (5th and 6th class). The programme actively encourages young people to record bullying incidents which they witness without recording specific details. Workshops are then run in the local schools and within the club setting. All information is collated and used by the young people to identify levels of bullying. In conjunction with participants, we develop an anti-bullying policy for the clubs and classes.
Unification within the project is essential to ensure the policy is effective. We provide a safe space for young people to talk to youth workers in confidence (subject to child protection guidelines).
The Bully Buster Programme is run in conjunction with groups and local schools. For more information on the programme simply contact Orla Grimes on 01-6771930 or at orla.grimes@standrews.ie
