Drama Class
Drama enables the young people to develop the social skills necessary to engage openly, honestly and appropriately with their peer group. This drama class enables the young people to co-operate and communicate with others in solving problems through drama. The class helps participants to develop new skills by learning in a fun way and empowers the young people to promote questioning and life skills.
The club meets at various venues and times, depending on when planned performances are held. For more information on how to get involved in this group simply contact Lisa Downes on 01-6771930
Drama class is to encourage young people to look at issues that affect their every day life, learning new skills through drama games and to build up trust within the group.
This also is to allow a safe space for young people to expolre feelings and the effects and consequences of there actions. Also allows them to explore different abilities in the group and encourage positive development, e.g. writing skills, physical performance, verbal skills or leadership and directing skills.
