Drug Awareness Week
This programme aims to promote an awareness of drugs in the area. Young people in particular will be targeted to participate in the week with a view to broadening their understanding of the drugs issue. We create awareness within the community of the drugs issue. We incorporate information on drugs alongside healthy fun alternatives, which will provide the young people with the information and social skills needed to make healthy decisions. Drugs Awareness Week encourages confidence building and self esteem.
The week incorporates many community events which will bring the community closer together on such an important issue. The week is planned and implemented with a focus group of young people.
