Adult Education Overview

The Adult Education department of St. Andrew's Resource Centre provides educational resources to all those living in the area. The aim of the Adult Education department is to make education available to all and to promote an attitude of life long learning.

The Adult Education department provides students with the necessary skills to equip students for employment opportunities and to provide new skills that will better students' lives in innumerable ways. A range of courses are provided by the Adult Education department, often in association with the City of Dublin Vocational Education Committee (CDVEC). Courses include language class, computer classes and writing and literacy classes. A number of extramural courses are also provided, including flower arranging, art and drama. St. Andrew's Resource Centre also offers a counselling service through the Adult Education department. Free one to one counselling can be provided in relation to a number of issues, including bereavement, separation, depression and addiction.
