South Docks 2012 Success

24 Jul 2012

The 25th Anniversary South Docks Festival was a huge success this year. With events from the Teddy Bear's Picnic, to Pearse Street's Got Talent, from the Fair in the Square to the Children's talent show, all events had great numbers in attendance. This year also saw new events, with fishing lessons for children held on the Wednesday, and also this year the 'Mystery trip' went to Carlow.

The Fair in the Square was also moved this year, being held opposite the centre in Pearse Square instead of Merrion Square. This was a great success, and a great use of space, with entertainment provided by bands, dance groups, bouncy castles and lots more.

Next year's festival is set to build on this year's 25th anniversary celebrations. As always, we welcome feedback, so if you would like to propose a new event, or get involved in the organising committee for an event, then simply contact Jim Hargis (01-6771930 or jim.hargis.ices@gmail.com)
