Play Therapy:
Play therapy can be helpful for children who are experiencing emotional or behavioural difficulties or coping with something tough at home or in school. Children can’t always engage in traditional forms of counselling or ‘talk therapy’ but play can give them a way to work out their difficulties in a safe and age- appropriate way. To refer your child to play therapy please email dara.terry@standrews.ie with the below referral form filled out.

Speech and Language Therapy:
Communication, especially with neurodiverse children, starts with genuine connection with the child. It is important to meet a child exactly where they are in the moment. This might mean dropping ideas of what we would like to ‘teach’ the child or how we would like them to learn or communicate. This might mean using no language but simply giving the child’s body what it needs.
Speech and Language Therapy with neurodiverse children involves the parent and SLT working together to identify the things that support connection with the child. For mor information please contact dara.terry@standrews.ie. Please find the referral form attached.
